Remembering Stonewall - June 28th

On the night of June 28th in 1969 the LGBTQ+ community in the West Village of NYC responded with civil and not civil disobedience when the NYC police raided the Stonewall Inn, a know LGBTQ+ bar where the community congregated. At the time, serving alcohol to LGBTQ people was illegal in all states except New Jersey where only the year before the law was overturned. These series of events reverberated across the country.

We honor the trailblazers of the Stonewall Uprising, who stood up against injustice and ignited a global movement. Their legacy lives on in Pride.
