In 2015 Nate Sweeney founded Honor Our LGBT Elders Day with National Day Calendar to recognize the contributions and leadership of older members of the LGBT community. Our elders fought for every right we have today. On this day, we honor their courage, remember their sacrifices, and commit to building a future where aging with dignity is a right—not a privilege.
