Welcome To PRIDE Month

Pride Month is June to affirm rights of the LGBTQ+ community during the anniversary of the Stone Wall rebellion, a series of violent events following the police raid on the Stonewall Bar, a known LGBTQ+ hand out in the west Village of NYC in 1969. Each year June sees LGBTQ+ events around the country. It is especially important for community members and allies to be heard and seen this year as the community faces discrimination on the ground and at the highest levels of the federal government after decades of steady affirming inclusion in our culture and society. Look for an event in your community, donate to an LGBTQ+ advocacy group, hang a Pride flag at your home or business to stand up for freedom for all in today’s America.
