🗓️On October 19, we join the nation in celebrating LGBTQ+ Center Awareness Day — a day dedicated to honoring the essential role that LGBTQ+ centers play in offering safe spaces, resources, support, and community across the country.

In a moment when LGBTQ+ rights and services are under pressure in many regions, local centers remain beacons of resilience. They offer counseling, support groups, legal referrals, cultural programs, and so much more — often stepping in where systems fail.

At LGBT Senior Housing and Care, we view LGBTQ+ centers as vital partners and extended family. Many of our elders have turned to these centers for decades — for companionship, health support, and affirmation. Our mission is aligned: creating caring, affirming housing environments that echo the refuge these centers provide.

This Awareness Day, we invite you to:

● Recognize and uplift your local LGBTQ+ center

● Volunteer, donate, or amplify their work

● Reflect on how community networks have shaped queer elder care

When LGBTQ+ centers thrive, the whole community gains.
