🌈 May 3 – International Family Equality Day

Celebrating the rainbow. Every family deserves recognition, respect, and rights. On #InternationalFamilyEqualityDay, we uplift diverse LGBTQ+ families and affirm that love and connection—not gender or biology—make a family. Each year since 2012, the first Sunday of May marks the celebration of the International Family Equality Day. It celebrates the Diversity of Families globally. The Council of Europe recognizes the IFED as an important tool to combat homophobia and transphobia and to promote a tolerant and cohesive society. IFED was incorporated under Swiss law as an international non-profit association in May 2018.
