October 15 — we observe International Pronouns Day, a moment to reaffirm that using correct pronouns is a simple but powerful act of dignity, respect, and inclusion. pronouns.org+1
In a time when the rights and recognition of transgender and nonbinary people are under heightened scrutiny—both in legislation and in public discourse—affirming pronouns isn’t just symbolic: it’s a commitment to holding space for identity and visibility.
At LGBT Senior Housing and Care, we strive to create environments where every resident is addressed as their whole self — name, pronouns, and all. Because for LGBTQ+ elders — many of whom lived through eras of enforced invisibility — being seen is a matter of justice.
Let’s honor this day by: • Making pronouns part of introductions and forms • Offering gentle corrections when we err • Centering the voices of trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive elders in our spaces
Pronouns matter — and respect transforms communities. 🌈 #InternationalPronounsDay #PronounsMatter #LGBTQInclusion #LGBTSeniorHousing #EldersDeserveVisibility
