June 5-HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day
HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day (HLTSAD) is observed annually on June 5, 2026. It honors people living with HIV for ten or more years, or since before 1996, raising awareness of their unique aging-related needs, mental health, and stigma. The day coincides with the anniversary of the first AIDS cases reported in 1981. We honor the resilience and strength of long-term HIV survivors who paved the way for today’s progress in healthcare and rights. Let's uplift their storie
